About Me

I recently graduate from Intelligent Systems Lab, RPI with Ph.D. in computer systems engineering. My advisor is Dr. Qiang Ji and my thesis research is “Dynamic Data Modeling, Recognition, and Synthesis”. I will join Amazon as a research scientist after graduation. I also hold M.S. in applied math from RPI and M.S. in ECE from Purdue University. I obtained my B.S. in engineering from Zhejiang University, where I was also enrolled in a honored leadership program known as Morningside Scholar.

Research Interest

My research focuses on developing machine learning methods for analyzing dynamic data, which is sequentially observed data. I’m also interested in probabilistic graphical models, generative models, Bayesian methods, and deep learning. Applications where my research applied include computer vision (action recognition, motion synthesis, facial expression analysis), human-computer interaction, and brain-computer interface.
