ADALM2000 Information¶
The Analog Devices ADALM2000 (M2K) is USB test instrument, which combines several traditionally independent benchtop pieces of equipment (e.g., Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, DC Supplies, Logic Analyzer, etc.) into a single, small package. Computer interaction with the device is provided by the Scopy Software.
The ADALM2000 pinout is as shown in the image below. It is pin-for-pin compatible with the Analog Discovery pinout.

Analog Discovery Information¶
The Digilent Analog Discovery (AD) is a USB test instrument similar to the ADALM2000; though it’s specifications are marginally or substantially better, depending on the application. These improvements are not necessary for this course. There are three different versions of the Analog Discovery:
the original, named simply the “Analog Discovery”. It is a plain black box with the name of the product in white on top.
The “Analog Discovery 2”. This one is a transparent rectangular case with a green X design on top.
The “Analog Discovery 3”, which is a block box with green trim on the outside edges.
All version of the Analog Discovery have the same hardware and software interface with improvements in the contained electronics. Each are sufficient to use in this course and a distinction between the three will not be made. Computer interaction with the device is provided by the Digilent Waveforms Software.
